NAMM Standards for Inspections

A visual/olfactory inspection of structure using the Certified Moisture and Maintenance Inspector (CMMI) protocols to determine areas of moisture intrusion and a sampling strategy. A CMMI inspection will cover more then just mold and moisture, but should also focus on maintenance issues that, if addresses immediately, can prevent future mold and moisture issues. Don’t wait to see mold to have a CMMI inspection!

The complete list of protocols is not publicly available. However, a CMMI inspection covers the following areas:

  • Grounds
  • Building Envelope
  • Other Structures
  • Interior
  • Plumbing
  • Attic
  • Crawlspace
